Nay Pyi Taw 13 February
A groundbreaking ceremony of Child Care Center for Orphans (Nay Pyi Taw) was held at Wunnatheiddhi Ward in Zabuthiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area this morning. The event was graced by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
First lady Daw Cho Cho, Daw Su Su Lwin, wife of former president U Htin Kyaw, Daw Khin Thet Htay, wife of vice president U Myint Swe, Dr. Shwe Hlwan, wife of vice president U Henry Van Thio, Daw Yin May, wife of Pyithu Hluttaw speaker U T Khun Myat, Daw Aye Thida, wife of chairman of the Union Election Commission U Hla Thein, Union Ministers, chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council and their wives, deputy minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, ambassadors of international embassies to Myanmar and members of Orphans Reduction and Protection Association (Myanmar), donors and invited guests were in attendance.
The State Counsellor drove a stake at the designated location and sprinkled the scented water on it. And Union Minister Dr. Win Myat Aye, chairman of Myanmar Construction Entrepreneurs Association U Shein Win, chairperson of Orphans Reduction and Protection Association Daw May Yin Tun also drove stakes and sprinkled the scented water on them.
The centre will be constructed in Wunnatheiddhi Ward in Zabuthirir Twonship with a fund donated by Orphans Reduction and Protection Association (Myanmar) to the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.
