Yesagyo, 20 April

Fire broke out at the home of U Phoe Win in Ward-8 in the town of Yesagyo in Pakokku District, Magway Region at about 10:17 am on 20 April and completely destroyed three houses and killed one person.

Fire was thought to have started from setting fire to the clothes by U Phoe Win who was declared of unsound mind and spread to nearby two houses. The estimated cost of the damage to the houses was Ks. 305000.

Firemen from the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire with the use of four fire-engines and two water tankers in collaboration with locals after receiving the report. The blaze was successfully extinguished.
