Kyaikmaraw, 21 April

Some wards in the town of Kyaikmaraw, Mawlamyine District of Mon State suffered from scarcity of drinking water due to extreme hot weather as the dry season set in.

As part of efforts to help the difficulties of local people, staff from the Township Development Committee provided 7600 gallons of drinking water free of charge to the affected people in Shinsawpu, Yanmyo Aung, Ahtaranmyothit and Lethagon wards in the Town.

Staff from the Township Development committee will continue to provide drinking water to affected people in other villages and wards in the Township, according to an official from the Township Development Committee.—Cho Myat Myat Htway(Kyaikmaraw)
