Eight houses in Pahtoo Village in Kamma Township, Thayet District of Magway Region were damaged when the village was hit by strong winds yesterday evening.

Most of the houses were partially destroyed as the roofs were blown off by the strong winds and in some cases a house was hit by uprooted tree while another house was collapsed by powerful winds.

Under the supervision of Chairman of the Township Administration Council, staff from the Township General Administration Department, firemen from the Township Fire Services Department, local police members and village Administrator provided necessary assistance to victims of strong winds.
