An event to provide cash aids to victims facing strong winds in Laymyathnar Township was held at the Township General Administration Department in Hinthada District, Ayeyawaddy Region on 16 May.
Officials from the Hinthada District Department of Disaster Management and Laymyathnar Township General Administration Council jointly provided K 600,000 to five households for the collapse of their houses and K 210,000 to six households whose their roofs of houses were flipped over. Then, they also provided cash aids for purchasing rice and rescue kits with 17 items.
As the villages in Laymyathnar Township are near the Ngawun River, the villages usually face the risks of natural disaster. Therefore, the District Department of Disaster Management made preparedness measures and are providing necessary aids to the victims.
