Due to Cyclone Mocha on 14 May, the roofs of some houses in Taungdwingyi Township, Magway Region were flipped over by strong winds and officials from the Township Disaster Management Department provided cash aid for purchasing construction materials and foodstuffs to victims of strong winds on a door to door basis on yesterday evening.

Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Kyaw Zin Oo, member-1 of the Township Administration Council Major Thet Khaing Tun, member-2 of the Township Administration Council U Hla Thaung and officials handed over a total of Ks.786700 to 77 people from 19 households in the Township. 

Powerful winds hit in villages in Taungdwingyi Township of Magway Region on May 14, and the roofs of 19 houses were blown off and one house was collapsed.—Township IPRD
