Phakant, 22 May
A fire broke out in Ward-3 in Sankye Village in Phakant Township, Kachin State at about 10:25 am on May 21 destroyed three houses, according to the Township Fire Services Department.
The fire was believed to have started from overheated wire in the home of Daw Thin Thin, and spread to other houses. But no casualties have been reported in the incident so far.
A combined team comprising fire fighters from Phakant Fire Services Department rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with villagers, and the blaze was successfully extinguished.—Township IPRD
