A ceremony to furnish cash assistance to the disabled in Yenangyaung Township by the Magway Region Department of Social Welfare was held at the Township General Administration Department yesterday.

First MP U Tint Lwin of regional Hluttaw gave opening remarks and Daw San San Myat, head of the pre-school from the department clarified the purpose of the donations, disclosing that the public need to inform the Social Welfare Department if there are disabled people in the villages and wards. 

Afterwards, a total of 628 disabled people in the township were provided cash aids at a rate of K 30,000 per head through the village and ward administrators. 

Present on the occasion were departmental personnel, ward and village administrators and the disabled.
