A rural concrete road was inaugurated to public in Medin Mrauk Village, Kani Township in Sagaing Region on Saturday morning.

 

At the ceremony, regional lawmaker U Shwe Htay, Chairman of the township management committee U Thaik Soe Tun, an official from the Department of Rural Development and a representative from the technical advisory body of the township community driven development project formally opened a stone inscription and sprinkled scented water on it. Next, a prominent Buddhist monk, and local authorities gave speeches. 

 

The 1,245 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and 6 inch thick road was jointly built by the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and the Community-Centered Project at a cost of more than Ks. 11.94 million in total.—Than Htay Aung (Kani)
