The Ministry of Information donated a books to Ottara Alintan library of No 12 Basic Education High School in Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw, yesterday morning.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn donated books, publications and bookcases to the library of No 12 BEHS to Township Education Officer U Than Swe and Headmistress Daw Cho Cho.
Next, Vice Chair of the Myanmar Women’s and Children’s Life Promotion Association Daw Thuzar Wai explained the purpose of the donations.
Then, students from BEHS No 12 sang the “Zartiman” song.
The Union minister and wife viewed students reading at the library.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn’s family donated two teak cupboards worth K1 million, the Department of Information and Public Relations, 150 books valued at K650,000 and the Department of Printing and Publishing, 370 copies of books worth over K510,000 to Ottara Alintan library of the school. — MNA/KZW
