Under the guidance of Colonel Aung Ko Lat, commander of No. (2) military area, students aged five and above received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the designated vaccination sites in Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region yesterday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Under the supervision of Chairman of the Township Administration Council U Kyaw Thet Htoo and Township Education Officer U Khin Zaw, medical workers led by midwife Daw Wei Hnin from the Township Department Public Health gave first shot of COVID-19 vaccine to children above five years old and above.

On the occasion, a total of 105 students were vaccinated against COVID-19. The remaining the students will be given the vaccine before 21-9-2023, according to the Township Education Officer's Office.—Nan Tharyi(IPRD)
