Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, ac­companied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and officials, paid homage to Lawkananda Pago­da in Sittway of Rakhine State yesterday morning.

The Senior General and his wife offered Waso robes, rice and alms to the Presiding Patron of Nandayama Pariyatti Buddhist Learning Centre.

At U Ye Kyaw Thu mon­astery in Sittway, the Senior General and his wife also do­nated alms to abbot Bhadd­anta Jotipala and supplicated the necessary repair plan for damaged buildings caused by the recent storm.

The Senior General in­spected the loss and damage of the Thakyamuni Phayagyi ordination hall in the pre­cinct of the monastery and in­structed officials to repair the damaged buildings in original works, roof the ordination hall as the first priority and keep the precinct neat and tidy. — MNA/TTA
