Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, currently in the Russian Federation, visited the geological gallery at the Ural State Mining University in Yekaterinburg on 12 July.

 

The relevant officials showed the Union Minister early geological discoveries through the ages, the evolu­tion of mining activities, and the precious ores of the Ural region, and the Union Minister asked about the matters of his interest.

 

In the afternoon, the My­anmar delegation led by the Union Minister visited the Museum complex of military and civil equipment of the Ural Mining and Metallurgi­cal Company and observed wooden-bodied fighter planes used during World War II, air defence weapons, tanks, ships, and steam-powered railway engines on display at the mu­seum.

 

The Union minister also visited the Stone-Crafting House by Alexey Antonov in Yekaterinburg yesterday morning and viewed the an­cient animal fossils, a variety of stones collected from all over the world, carved stone sculp­tures in various sizes, and Rus­sia’s oldest excavated gold and stone paintings. — MNA/CT
