According to the Department of Archaeology and National Mu­seum, experts from Myanmar and India are jointly working on the cleaning of golden sketches in the Ananda temple’s tunnel.

 

The work started in the first week of June, and current­ly, work process has completed by 50 per cent.

 

The Ananda Temple, locat­ed in Bagan’s ancient cultural area, is being restored in col­laboration with Indian experts. Those Indian experts are also maintaining ancient building No 1600 Nathlaungkyaung, ancient building No 235 Thag­yapone temple, and ancient building No 225 Myataung brick monastery without losing original works. — TWA/KZW
