Social pension provided by Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement was dispensed to senior citizens aged 85 and above in Methaum village tract in Shan Ywarthit sub-Township, Hpa-an District of Kayin State this morning on a door to door basis.

On the occasion, the Town Administrator U Naing Win Aung and officials disbursed Ks. 30000 each to 22 elderly people for the months of April, May and June for 2023-2024 FY.

There are a total of 72 elderly people including 26 men and 46 women who are eligible to receive social pension in seven village tracts in Shan Ywarthit sub-Township in Kayin State.—Zin Lay (IPRD)
