Personnel from the District Department of Rural Development inspected the construction works of rural road in Letpakan Village in Saling Township of Magway Region yesterday morning.

An earthen road which is seven furlong in length, 12 ft. in width and nine inches in height and a concrete bridge and a pipe culvert measuring 20 ft. long, 18 ft. wide and six ft. high on the road have been constructed since the third week of June this year by a tender winning Company with Ks. 51.3 million of DRD’s allocated funds for 2023-2024 fiscal year and all the projects have been completed by 25 percent so far.

During the inspection tour, personnel led by staff officer of the District DRD U Win Myat Thein met with members of the construction Company and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance. Once completed, it will benefit local people and helping them transport rural products to the markets in a timely manner.—Than Than Soe(DRD)
