A ceremony to honor outstanding students who passed with distinctions in 2022-2023 Academic year’s matriculation examination and to provide teaching aids to schools was held at the Saw Maha Hall of B.E.H.S. in the town of Hopang, the Wa Self-Administered Division in Shan State this morning.
First, students from Hopang B.E.H.S. performed a school song. Next, chairman of the Wa Self-Administered Division Administration Council U Nyi Nat delivered an opening speech. This was followed by the presentation of awards and certificates of honor to outstanding students.
Under this award program, a total of 36 students including one student who passed with four distinctions, three students who obtained two distinctions, three students who won one distinction and 29 students who passed the exam ordinarily received awards and certificates of honor respectively.
Afterward, official handed over 500 dozens of note books, 250 dozens of pencils, 600 sharpeners and 200 dozens of rulers for students from Basic Education Schools in the Township. The teaching aids were accepted by the Township Education officer U Aung Moe. Next, Ma Hnin Yadana who won four distinctions spoke words of thanks on behalf of students.
