The water level of Thanlwin River has reached 822 centimeters, exceeding its danger mark of 750 centimeters. As a result, water entered into low-lying areas in the town of Hpa-an and members of Township Disaster Management Committee and Fire Services Department helped evacuate the flood victims. 

In the town of Hpa-an, a total of five temporary rescue camps for flood victims are being opened and a total of 1366 victims were evacuated at the camps. Kayin State government, well-wishers and the Department of Disaster Management are providing cash aids, instant noddle, rice, edible oil and others. In addition, officials from the Health Department are giving necessary health care to the victims at the camps.
