Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla together with State dignitaries enjoyed excellent entertainments of the State Orchestra of the MRTV under the Ministry of Information at the theatre of the Myawady media centre in Yankin Township yesterday afternoon.
The master of ceremonies presented a brief report about functions of international orchestras and the State Orchestra. Next, an animation video clip on the State Orchestra and musical instruments was screened.
When the State Orchestra played the national anthem, the Senior General and attendees saluted it.
The State Orchestra played the ASEAN Anthem and MNSO overture of the orchestra and other musical entertainments.
The Senior General, wife and dignitaries watched song and musical entertainments of vocalists from MRTV, film and musical arenas. The Senior General and wife presented bouquets and cash awards to the State Orchestra and vocalists.
The Senior General and wife joined a tea party together with State dignitaries and artistes.
The State Orchestra of MRTV is equipped with musical instruments and the troupe is formed with 48 musicians and one conductor plus six vocalists from the modern band of the department, totalling 55. Those from the orchestra take practices to present entertainments at the State level ceremonies, receptions in honour of foreign guests and national-level music concerts.
