The township fire brigade and the Department of Consumer Affairs jointly organized an awareness on protection of consumers at the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department in YeU, Sagaing Region on 18 February morning in conjunction with a fire drill.

Officials from the Fire Services Department and the Department of Consumer Affairs shared knowledge about foods that can cause cancer, banned food which are prohibited by the Ministry of Health and Sports, the root causes of the fire and fire preventive measures.  Afterwards, firefighters demonstrated how to put out the flame by using fire engines and fire extinguishers.

Next, Deputy Director of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department U San Lwin Oo and party inspected fuel storage facilities. The governmental employees were also involved in the fire drill.—Than Htike (YeU)
