Speaking at the event, he said the event will bring new ideas, suggestions, coopera­tion, approaches and creations to establish new digital ecosys­tems as it is being held under the theme “establishment of new digital ecosystems, create a new blue ocean of cooperation”. Now­adays, people can see how digital systems, technology and devices affect their daily lives, business­es and the entire human society. For example, AI, the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, Big Data and Cloud Computing are interdependent ones.

Moreover, the dialogue leads to Creating a New Blue Ocean of Cooperation and it should apply a network called China ASEAN Information Harbour. The Chi­na-ASEAN Information Harbour plays a crucial role in building the China-ASEAN community, and Myanmar is actively coop­erating in its process.

The Union minister also urged to deepen cooperation in the economy, e-government establishment, public digital ser­vices, transnational information, people-to-people exchanges and other sectors.

Then, other attendees co­ordinated the discussion and Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Lu Mon talked about the meas­ures addressing the disinforma­tion and cybersecurity-related matters.

The China-ASEAN Informa­tion Harbour, launched in 2016, is a Digital Silk Road project connecting China and ASEAN countries. It also promotes the bilateral cooperation between China and ASEAN countries through internet network and information exchanges, especial­ly five platforms – infrastructure, information sharing, technology cooperation, economic and trade services, and people-to-people exchanges as “One Base, One Centre, One Pillar and Two Clus­ters”.

The Union minister visit­ed the Light of Internet Expo in Wuzhen near the WIC Con­vention Centre yesterday. The expo displays the trends in global internet development and high technologies aiming at estab­lishing international coopera­tion and exchanges in the digital economic sector. — MNA/KTZH
