A ceremony to inaugurate a concrete road to mark 76th Anniversary of Independence Day to the public was held at the entrance of Hau Kyin Khup Road in Myothit Ward in the town of Hakha, Chin State yesterday.
At the event, Chief Minister of Chin State government Dr. Vung Suan Thang, the State Minister of Security and Border Affairs Colonel Thein Tun Aung and the State Minister of Natural Resources U Kyaw Nyein cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the road and looked round the road. Afterwards, U Tam Aung Hsing, executive officer of the Township Development Committee discussed matters relating to the construction work of the concrete road and explained points to upgrade Hakha View Point and then posed for documentary group photo.
With the aim of improving socio-economic of local people, the concrete paving work of road measuring 2320 ft. long, 12 ft. wide and nine inches thick was constructed with K 241.08 million of the Township Development Committee’s funds for 2023-2024 fiscal year, according to the Township Development Committee.
Chief Minister of Chin State government Dr. Vung Suan Thang, the State Chief Justice U Nay Soe, the State Ministers, the State Advocate General, secretaries of the State government, township and district level officials and cultural troupes attended the event.—District IPRD
