A combined team consisting of members of Anti-drugs Squad stopped a motorbike driven by Ar Wuthe near Kengphaung Village in Kengtung Township of Shan State at 7:45 pm on January 4 and seized 2000 stimulant tablets from him.

In a similar incident, a combined team consisting of members of Anti-drugs squad stopped and searched a motorcycle driven by Aung Naing Soe near Naungkhan Village in Lawksawk Township of Shan State on the same day and confiscated 6000 stimulant tablets.

The culprits have been charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MPF
