The ceremony of the 76th Anni­versary of Kachin State Day was organized with Manaw Dance on the lawn in front of the Kachin State Government Office yesterday.

 

It was attended by State Adminis­tration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San, SAC members Daw Dwe Bu, Dr Hmu Thang and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Maung Maung Ohn, U Min Naung, U Hla Moe, U Nyan Tun, Dr Thet

Khaing Win, U Myo Thant, Dr Thet Thet Khine, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung and departmental of­ficials.

 

Kachin State Chief Minis­ter U Khet Htein Nan, relevant officials, and traditional eth­nic cultural troupes welcomed them with a traditional dance.

 

After the opening cere­monial procedures of the 76th Kachin State Day, the Deputy Prime Minister and the party and participants joyfully par­ticipated in the Manaw dance at the same venue.

 

Then, the Deputy Prime Minister and party observed the booths displaying vegeta­bles and local products.

 

They proceeded to the Bala Min Htin No 2 bridge construction site in Myitkyina Township at noon. They then watched the demonstration of basic swimming techniques and swimming competitions at Nyeinchan Thaya swimming pool and awarded the winners.

 

Moreover, they visited a cultural museum in Ayeya ward, Jingphaw Thu loom in Rampu ward and Safe & Sure Auto Service Centre in Myothi­gyi ward.

 

Similarly, SAC Member Dr Hmu Thang and U Shwe Kyein, Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Min Naung, U Nyan Tun, Jeng Phang Naw Taung and Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung attend­ed the Honorary Certificate/ Award-Giving Ceremony in Commemoration of the 76th an­niversary of Kachin State Day.

 

There were 22 recipients of Excellence in Management Affairs (second class), 16 re­cipients of Excellence in Social Affairs (second class), seven recipients of Excellence in Management (third class), and seven winners for higher edu­cation and basic education level essay and poem competitions.

 

They also watched the sports competitions marking the 76th anniversary of Kachin State Day at the state football stadium. — MNA/KTZH
