State Administration Council members Daw Dwe Bu and Dr Hmu Thang and Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win visited Myitkyina General Hospital on Monday.
During the meeting, Daw Dwe Bu greeted the medical staff and reaffirmed her support for the hospital. Subsequently, the Union Minister explained the ministry’s endeavours in controlling diseases and caring for the people in line with the SAC’s objectives for social affairs.
He highlighted numerous upgrades in general hospitals, including labs, x-ray facilities, and diagnostic fields, while advocating for a unified effort towards public healthcare.
The specialists and medical staff presented their requirements, and the Union minister addressed them accordingly.
Representatives from different public healthcare bodies in Kachin State were also present among the attendees. — MNA/NT
