A ceremony to hand over Ks. 100 million of the regional development fund to the local officials was held at Aye Chan Thayar Hall of the General Administration Department in Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyawady Region this morning.

At the ceremony, Lower House MP U Thein Tun, regional lawmakers Dr. Htein Win and U Khin Maung Zaw give speeches. Township Administrator U Zaw Myo Win explained matters relating to the funds, saying the remaining Ks. 100 mill be presented after the projects are completed. Next, the officials replied to questions raised by the working committee chairmen and presented the funds to them.

The fund was first of its kind and were allocated by the parliamentary budget in the fiscal year 2018-2019.—Win Kyaing (IPRD)
