The closing ceremony of the Nay Pyi Taw Session and Yangon Session of the Certificate Course in Enhanced Diplomatic Skills 7/2024 conducted by the Minis­try of Foreign Affairs was held yesterday concurrently at the Lawkanat Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Nay Pyi Taw) and the Winzinminyarzar Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Yangon). On the occasion, Dep­uty Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo delivered the closing remarks in Nay Pyi Taw.

 

Present at the occasion were the permanent secretary, the directors-general, and re­sponsible officials of the Min­istry of Foreign Affairs, retired Myanmar ambassadors, senior diplomats, professors, lecturers, and trainees.

 

The Certificate Course in Enhanced Diplomatic Skills 7/2024 was conducted in two ses­sions in Nay Pyi Taw and in Yan­gon, respectively, from 13 May to 5 July 2024. It was attended by 108 trainees, including civil serv­ants from government entities and ministries as well as individ­uals from the private sector who are interested in diplomacy and international relations.

 

The eight-week course covered subjects related to Di­plomacy, Contemporary Inter­national Affairs, International Relations, International Law, Economics and General knowl­edge. The trainees submitted group research papers on the topics associated with contempo­rary international affairs, global security and economic develop­ments, followed by delivering the group presentations as a part of practical training on respective research papers. — MNA
