Deputy Minister for Construction U Kyaw Lin, together with officials, inspected the construction of concrete road along the Angu Maw-Maungtaw road in Maungtaw yesterday afternoon. The road is being conducted by the Asia World Co.Ltd as part of UEHRD project in Rakhine State.

 


Deputy Minister U Kyaw Lin inspected the work progress achieved in the construction along the Kyauk Pannu-Inn Din-Zedipyin road, which is being constructed by Road Special Team 17, the construction of 90 ft. wide concrete road between milepost 0/2 and 0/3, the construction of 18 ft. wide concrete road near the milepost 1/2 and the construction of 100 ft. wide concrete road near the milepost 7/5 while urging the officials to carry out the works with systematic approach so as to improve the performance at work.

 


Next, Deputy Director (Civil) of Road Special Team 17 and Director-General of the Department of Roads and Bridges reported the completion of road construction projects, construction arrangements for the public roads and bridges. Following inspection, Deputy Minister U Kyaw Lin said that the road construction area fell off beyond the Mayu Mountain, thus it will necessitate to warn beware of wild elephants.

 


The construction of the Kyauk Pannu-Inn Din-Zedipyin Road is 10 miles and 7 furlongs long. So far, gravel road construction measuring 9 miles, 18 ft. wide concrete road construction measuring 2 miles and 4 furlongs, 7 Box Culverts and two bridges have been completed, and the Deputy Minister urged that efforts would be made to span the Bailey bridges so as to use the rainy seasons.
Afterwards, Deputy Minister and party inspected the Buthidaung-Nyaungchaung-Zedipyin-Angue Maw (Nyaungchaung-Zedipyin section), U Daung-Nyaung Chaung road and the work progress of the earthen road using road machines between milepost 2/3 and 2/4. — MNA
