The U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2024 final match of group stage and knockout matches took place in Chiba, Japan, yesterday.
Myanmar’s U-12 team won first in the group stage, securing a higher level, but it lost at the 32-team level.
Myanmar U-12 team beat Japanese Basara FC 2-0 in the final match of the group fixture. Therefore, the Myanmar U-12 team won two games and one draw out of three matches, achieved seven marks and reached another level as a group first.
The Myanmar team faced FC Zero at the 32-team knockout stage and lost 2-1. Team Myanmar lost the chance to reach a further stage and will have to face Japanese Dragon Kashiwa FC on 22 August for ranking. — Ko Nyi Lay/KTZH
