IN the ongoing 22nd ASEAN+ Age- Groups Chess Championships held in Vientiane, Laos, from 21 to 30 August, Myanmar secured a silver medal in the Standard Chess competition held on 28 August.
Myanmar’s top players, May Maha, Shwe Yee Poe Eaint, and Shinn Nadi Aung, excelled in the Under-10 Girls category, earning the silver medal for their outstanding performance.
The tournament features competitors from ASEAN countries, China, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, India, Russia, the USA, and South Korea, showcasing a high level of international chess talent. — Arkar Linn/KZL
