Officials from the Department of Rural Development under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation made a field trip to a village in Mese, a border town in Kayah State yesterday to inspect work progress of development tasks.

Rural developmental tasks are being carried out by the DRD with financial assistance of the community-driven project under its Emerald Green Project. They looked into construction of a village hall which is being built with more than Ks. 2.7 million financed by the Community-Driven Project. They were briefed about work progress by concerned officials.

They also met members of the Emerald Green Project in Namtpeinlin Village and inspected a site chosen for construction of manual tube wells in Namthu Village.—Wutyi (IPRD)
