The Rural Development Department is attending to the needs of water supply system in the villages and officials from Gangaw Township Rural Development Department made a feasible study to distribute water in Laedama village in Pondaung Ponnya Region, according to the township department.

 “The village is constituted 67 households with 308 people and arrangements are being made to distribute water from the main water resource which is five miles away from the village” said U Aung Zeya from the Township Rural Development Department.

In addition, officials from the Township Fire Services Department and Electricity Department are planning to furnish food and accommodation in case of disaster. As well the Preventative, Relief and Resettlement Management Committee is in the course of distributing drinking water to Tazan, Anntar and Samaik villages which often find themselves without drinking water in the summer.
