REAL estate transactions especially low-priced land and land with houses have been seen in Yangon Region’s Thanlyin Township, according to estate agents.

Transactions have increased visibly in property priced around K100 million or below and the market is likely to be better overall in coming months.

“Especially, transactions have been seen in estates - not land-only but those with houses and there are transactions in 20 feet by 60 feet land-only properties. Currently, low-priced estate transactions have happened. But the property market is likely to be active again overall in coming months,” said a Thanlyin-based estate agent, Ko Sai Lin.

At present, transactions have been seen in Thanlyin’s Phayagon and Bogyoke village as well as around Thilawa Port where prices are affordable, he said.

“Because prices in these areas are affordable. The majority of buyers are from Yangon. Low-priced lands around K30 million-K50 million in Thilawa are also marketable now. No sudden surge in price has been seen even the new bridge was completed, so it is good for buying and selling,” he added. — Thit Taw/ZS
