THE final group-stage match­es of the Nepal Four Nations Women’s Football Invitational Tournament were held on 23 February, with Myanmar se­curing first place in the group and advancing to the final.

 

In the last group match, Myanmar and host Nepal drew 2-2, while Lebanon de­feated Kyrgyzstan 2-0. Both Myanmar and Nepal had al­ready secured their spots in the final before this match, making the result inconse­quential. The draw was de­termined by early goals from both sides, leading to a bal­anced outcome.

 

Myanmar fielded a differ­ent lineup but still included key players. The match be­gan with both teams attack­ing aggressively. Myanmar took an early lead with goals from Myat Noe Khin in six minutes and May Htet Lu in 16 minutes. However, Nepal equalized with goals from Ranamagar in 11 minutes and Bhandari in 41 minutes. Neither team scored in the second half, ending the match in a draw.

 

At the end of the group stage, Myanmar and Nepal both finished with seven points. However, Myanmar secured the top spot based on goal difference, while Ne­pal finished second. Lebanon earned three points while Kyr­gyzstan lost all three matches without earning a point.
