THE Myanmar women’s football team, which won the championship trophy at the International Women’s Championship, a four-nation invitational tournament hosted by Nepal, returned to Yangon International Airport on the morning of 28 February.

Each player from the victorious Myanmar women’s team has been awarded K2.5 million from me and K2.5 million from the Yangon Region Government, making a total of K5 million each. More well-deserved rewards will follow. However, there is still much to do, and we must not be complacent at this stage”.
