THE 63rd Cycling Esports National Championships took place at the Thuwunna Youth Training Centre (YTC) in Thingangyun Township yesterday.
In the 16-kilometre competition, first place went to Ye Myat Kyaw of RCC (Yangon), second place to Zay Lin Htet of TYC (Mandalay), and third place to Saw Wai Naung Tun of TYC (Mandalay) in the Men’s Junior category.
In the Women’s Elite category, first place was won by Khaing Wah of TYC (Mandalay), second place by Thwe Zin Han of KNCC (Yangon), and third place by Hla Hla Nwe of FCC (Yangon).
In the Men’s Elite category, first place went to Hercules of TYC (Mandalay), second place to Wai Hlyan Aung of FCC (Yangon), and third place to Htet Aung Soe of KNCC (Yangon).
The competition, which ran from 28 February to 2 March saw 58 athletes competing in the Men’s Junior category, 20 athletes in the Women’s Elite category and 22 athletes in the Men’s Elite category, making a total of 100 participants. — Arkar Linn/KZL
