THE State Administration Council held a ceremony to listen to the Paritta recitation on the occasion of the Myanmar New Year yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was attended by member of the Sangha led by State Ovadacariya Presiding Sayadaw of the Maha Thihanada Monastery in Tatkon Abhidhaja Maharatthaguru Bhaddanta Acinna, and Secretary of the State Administration Council General Aung Lin Dwe, State Administration Council Chairman’s Office Ministry-4 Union Minister U Aung Kyaw Hoe, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries and departmental officials.
At the ceremony, the congregation received the Nine Precepts from the Sayadaw and listened to Paritta recited by members of the Sangha.
The SAC Secretary and party presented members of the Sangha with offerings. The ceremony concluded with sharing the merits gained.
After the ceremony, the SAC Secretary and party donated alms food to members of the Sangha. — MNA/MKKS
