ALL the government employees attended their offices after the Myanmar New Year holidays from their temporary relief camps and accommodations by their departmental shuttle bus­es, and actively carried out their duties yesterday.

 

The Ministry of Information organized a work coordination meeting on the first day of office yesterday. Union Minister for In­formation U Maung Maung Ohn, the deputy minister, the perma­nent secretary and departmental officials attended the meeting.

 

Speaking at the event, the Union minister said all the staff returned to work with renewed spirit after the long Thingyan hol­idays, and today also marks the resumption of office operations that had slowed down due to the earthquake that happened on 28 March. Rescue operations were completed, the rehabilitation processes were also launched, and the machinery of govern­ment began to function normally again.

 

He continued that the Prime Minister also instructed to re­sume office operations regard­ing the news releases in detail. All should follow the directives systematically, and the officials should supervise the attendance of staff daily. The bashas and tem­porary tents are also established for the staff, and the staff are also relocated to the first and second floors of the office to ensure the normal operations of the office.

 

Afterwards, the deputy min­ister, permanent secretary and departmental officials coordinat­ed the discussion.
