UNION Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win, on behalf of the National Disaster Man­agement Committee Chairman, organized a farewell event for the German emergency medi­cal team that completed their duties yesterday.

 

Speaking at the event, the Union minister highlighted the medical services of 23 emer­gency medical teams from 16 countries in Myanmar after the earthquake, whereas the German medical team provid­ed healthcare services starting from 15 April at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (300-bed), offering treatments to nearly 1,000 patients.

 

Dr Thet Khaing Win also expressed gratitude to the Ger­man government, people and the Humedica team for their efforts for patients.

 

Afterwards, he presented gifts to the German medical team.

 

The Union minister and party inspected healthcare services for about 100 outpa­tients a day provided by the US International Medical Corps and German Humedica team at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital (300-bed) on 23 April. — MNA/ KTZH
