THE Asia Pacific Joint Group (APJG) held its virtual meeting on the progress reports for anti-money laundering and financing against terrorism in Myanmar yesterday.
Speaking at the event, the Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar explained Myanmar’s efforts for anti-money laundering financing against terrorism in line with the suggestions by the APJG, ongoing work activities even when the country faced a natural disaster, or earthquake.
Then, Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman U Sis Aye discussed the commitments being carried out by Myanmar, ongoing work plans for strengthening the law, organizational framework as per the FATF recommendations, and cooperation work with international organizations, including FATF and APG.
The Myanmar delegation also explained the work undertakings and plans in response to the questions raised by the assessors from the APJG. — MNA/KTZH
