UNION Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn received the Alodawpyae Rescue Team led by Ashin Kumara in Nay Pyi Taw, where they delivered humanitarian aid to the Ministry of Information staff affected by the recent earthquake.
During the meeting, the Union minister supplicated the extent of damage to the ministry’s buildings caused by the earthquake, ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts, and support being provided by the government and international organizations, and expressed gratitude for the donated supplies. He also clarified the damage situation in detail.
Relief items were officially handed over, and the Union minister presented a certificate of honour and commemorative gifts in return. The Union minister also showed the Alodawpyae Rescue Team, the systematic construction of temporary bashas built in front of the ministry for staff use. — MNA/KZL
