THE 12th ASEAN Navy Young Officers Interaction was held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon from 28 April to 1 May.
The ASEAN navy young officers arrived in Yangon on 28 April.
They attended the opening ceremony of the event on 29 April and were briefed on the history of the navy and participated in a discussion under the topic of “Let’s work together in a balanced and coordinated manner for regional peace, stability, and maritime security.”
Chief of Staff (Navy) Lt- Gen Aye Min Htwe received the ASEAN navy young officers at Lotte Hotel on 29 April. Then, they were given gifts, and they posed for a documentary photo. The Chief of Staff (Navy) hosted a dinner for the officers.
The ASEAN Navy Young Officers participated in sailing events with the Tatmadaw (Navy) Sailing Team (Inya Lake), observed the naval vessels of No 1 Frigate, Thanlyin Naval Base, and made excursions to Shwedagon Pagoda and Bogyoke Aung San Market. The young officers returned to their respective countries yesterday. — MNA/KTZH
