THE Board of Trustees of Myathalun Pagoda has announced that the rice offering ceremony for over 1,000 monks and the Kason Water Pouring Festival will be held at Magway Myathalun Pagoda on the Full Moon Day of Kason.
The festival will be organized by the Rice Offering Festival Committee in Magway Region, in collaboration with donors from various departments and townships, on the morning of 11 May (the Full Moon Day of Kason).
U Ohn Kyaing, a member of the Board of Trustees, said, “On the morning of the Full Moon Day, a rice offering ceremony will be held at Myathalun Pagoda. Offerings will be made to over 1,000 monks from surrounding monasteries. Likewise, the banyan tree watering ceremony will take place within the pagoda precincts, as in previous years.” — ASH/MKKS
