THE fixture IV opener of the 2025–2026 Myanmar Women’s League was held on 6 May at three different venues in Yangon, and Shan United claimed their first win of the season. Ayeyawady and Yangon United also secured dominant victories without conceding.
Shan United defeated YREO with an emphatic 5-0 victory at the Thuwunna Youth Training Ground I. After facing tough opening fixtures against top teams and managing only one point from three matches, Shan United bounced back strongly in their fourth game. Goals came from Yu Yu Naing in 13 minutes, Yupa Khine in 15 and 25 minutes, and Nan Phyu Phyu Thwe in 35 and 47 minutes. With this win, Shan United now have four points from four games, while YREO remain on three points from three matches.
At Yangon United Sports Complex, Yangon United routed the Young Lionesses 8-0. Both teams went into the match with six points each, but Yangon United dominated from start to finish, marking their third consecutive win. Zin Moe Pyae scored in 15, 24, 40 and 71 minutes, Su Su Kyi in 16 minutes, Yoon Wati Hlaing in 49 minutes, Swe Mar Aung in 79 minutes, and Chan Myae Htun in 87 minutes. Yangon United now have nine points from four matches, while Young Lionesses remain on six points from the same number of games.
At Padonma Stadium, Ayeyawady thrashed newcomers Yangon Royal 5-0, regaining momentum after a previous setback. Ayeyawady dominated the first half, leading by three goals, and continued to press in the second. Lei Lei Hlaing scored in just three minutes and 70 minutes, Za Kha Rosie in 24 minutes, San Thaw Thaw in 25 minutes, and Phyu Phyu Win in 85 minutes. Ayeyawady remains top of the table with 10 points from four matches, while Yangon Royal has yet to register a point from three games.
