Members of the Myanmar high-level delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who attended the military parade to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 of the Russian Federation, yesterday morning left Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow of the Russian Federation by special aircraft for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
They were seen off at the airport by the director and officials of the Government Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Oo and officials.
The Senior General was accompanied by members of the delegation Council Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and his wife, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye, Dr Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Kyaw Swa Lin and his wife, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers, military and civilian officials.
The special aircraft carrying the Senior General, his wife and delegation members landed at Tolmachevo Airport in Novosibirsk where Novosibirsk Oblast Governor Mr Travnikov Ahdrey Aleksandrovich and officials welcomed them.
At the airport lounge, the Senior General and the Governor of Novosibirsk Oblast held a discussion. They openly exchanged views on a matter of pride and satisfaction for the Governor of the Novosibirsk Oblast for attendance of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister of Myanmar to the 80th Anniversary of the Great Patriotic War Victory and related events, the incident of the powerful Mandalay earthquake in Myanmar, the best efforts of the government together with people in carrying out rehabilitation and reconstruction for loss and damage to the affected areas, progress of cooperation between Myanmar and Novosibirsk region, and potential for enhancing further cooperation.
After the discussion, the Senior General and the Governor exchanged commemorative gifts.
When the Senior General, his wife, and entourage took a special flight to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, they were seen off at the airport by the Governor of Novosibirsk Oblast and officials.
During the visit, the Senior General, his wife and entourage attended the military parade to mark the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945 of the Russian Federation, holding separate meetings with State leaders who attended the events and officials from the Russian Federation. Moreover, the Senior General held discussions with his counterparts to further cement strategic cooperation in friendship, economic and security sectors and other sectors between both countries to achieve positive results for the State.
In the evening, the delegation led by the Senior General arrived back at Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport where they were welcomed back by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and his wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Council Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe and his wife, council members, Union ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar and officials from the embassy and the military attaché’s office. — MNA/TTA
