STATE Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung, together with ministers from the Ayeyawady Region government, yesterday attended a ceremony to present funds provided by the National Disaster Management Committee to civilians displaced due to acts of violence in various areas in Pantanaw Township held at the Shwe Naw Thiri Hall (Community Centre) in the township.
The SAC member first remarked to open the event.
SAC Member Mahn Nyein Maung, Ayeyawady Region Security and Border Affairs Minister Colonel Moe Min Naing, Ethnic Affairs Minister U Saw Lin Khel, and Maubin District Administration Body Chairman U Myint Naing presented cash and rice to the internally displaced people. A total of 273 displaced individuals each received K40,000 and one Pyi (1.6-1.8 kilogrammes) of rice. — MNA/KTZH
