MEMBER of the State Administration Council Mahn Nyein Maung, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and regional ministers attended the ceremony to erect the poster of Ayeyawady Region school enrolment day for the 2025-26 academic year in front of the Regional Education Office in Pathein yesterday morning.
The SAC member unveiled the poster while the regional chief minister cut the ribbon to open the school enrolment day.
The SAC member and the regional chief minister presented cash awards to the band and pom-pom dance troupes of the No 6 Basic Education High School, Pathein. The SAC member urged educational officials to cooperate with teachers, parents and school boards of trustees for a rising pass rate of the matriculation examination.
At the applied research and buffalo breeding farm in Sanchaung Village of Labutta Township, the SAC member instructed officials to distribute cattle and educate local farmers to produce feedstuffs for cattle. He viewed a video clip on the production process of soft-shell crabs in Texchem Marine Labutta Ltd in Labutta Township. An official accepted cash for victims of the Mandalay earthquake donated by businesspersons from cold storage facilities and fisheries from Labutta Township.
While in Labutta, the SAC member observed the production of soft-shell crabs at Super Gold Crab Farm. He inspected the progress of building embankments against seawater and four valves at the Myitkyogyi sluice gate undertaken by the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department between the Yway and Pyamalok rivers in Labutta Township.
In a meeting with local farmers, the SAC member gave a speech while the Regional Chief Minister explained development undertakings, education and health measures in the region and presented kenaf seeds and drum seeders to local farmers.
The SAC member attended the ceremony to hand over the permit of the land plot for the construction of the Kayin Literature and Culture Association to the association chair. — MNA/ TTA
