Chairman of the State Ad­ministration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Council Secretary General Aung Lin Dwe, Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and members, yester­day afternoon inspected repair and renovation of damaged Hluttaw buildings caused by the Mandalay earthquake in Nay Pyi Taw Un­ion Territory and gave necessary guidance.

 

The Senior General viewed round damaged parts at the sus­pension bridge and the archway to No 1 Gate, the Pyidaungsu Hlut­taw building, the Pyithu Hluttaw building, Zabuthiri Hall, and the Amyotha Hluttaw building. Speak­er of Pyithu Hluttaw U T Khun Myat and officials conducted the Senior General round the dam­aged buildings.

 

In response to the reports, the Senior General stressed the need to carry out systematic renovation at damaged Hluttaw buildings as quickly as possible and to complete repair process in a set period. He gave guidance to officials to de­ploy relevant skilled technicians in construction tasks in order to strengthen the buildings, and use quality construction materials.— MNA/TTA
