STATE Administration Council Member Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, accompanied by Sagaing Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs Colonel Win Tin Soe, visited the University for the Development of the National Races of the Union in Ywathitgyi Village, Sagaing Township, yesterday.
First, the Union minister met with the Rector, Pro-Rectors, Professors, and officials in the University Conference Hall. The Rector presented a report covering the university’s administration, management, academic measures, agriculture, livestock, water and electricity supply, completed construction projects funded by the 2024- 2025 financial year budget, future construction projects for the 2025-2026 financial year, damage and loss caused by the Mandalay earthquake, and the preparations required.
He viewed round students’ dormitories, dining halls, welfare shops, livestock feed mills, the stadium and gymnasium, earthquake damage conditions, raising layers and broilers, catfish farming, and seasonal crop cultivation for the welfare of staff families and students and addressed the identified needs. — MNA/TH
