STATE Administration Coun­cil Member Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, accompanied by Sagaing Region Minister for Security and Border Affairs Colonel Win Tin Soe, visited the Universi­ty for the Development of the National Races of the Union in Ywathitgyi Village, Sagaing Township, yesterday.

 

First, the Union minister met with the Rector, Pro-Rec­tors, Professors, and officials in the University Conference Hall. The Rector presented a report covering the university’s ad­ministration, management, ac­ademic measures, agriculture, livestock, water and electricity supply, completed construction projects funded by the 2024- 2025 financial year budget, fu­ture construction projects for the 2025-2026 financial year, damage and loss caused by the Mandalay earthquake, and the preparations required.

 

He viewed round students’ dormitories, dining halls, wel­fare shops, livestock feed mills, the stadium and gymnasium, earthquake damage conditions, raising layers and broilers, cat­fish farming, and seasonal crop cultivation for the welfare of staff families and students and addressed the identified needs. — MNA/TH
