MR ZHAO YOU JUN, Chief Executive Officer of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, together with company officials, donated a total of 11 types of items, including consumer goods and medicines, for earthquake-affected staff of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations (MIFER). The donation was made on the afternoon of 28 May at the ministry’s Office 1 in Nay Pyi Taw.
Union Minister Dr Kan Zaw expressed his gratitude, stating that nearly 80 per cent of the ministry’s staff based in Nay Pyi Taw had been impacted by the recent earthquake. He thanked Huawei for providing urgently needed supplies, including temporary tents, mosquito nets, medicines, water purification units and related materials.
Afterwards, the Union minister, the deputy minister, directors-general and other senior officials received the relief items on behalf of the ministry and presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr Zhao You Jun in recognition of Huawei’s generous contribution. — MNA/ MKKS
